It’s been eons I have had a chance to update my blog. Perhaps I just needed some Fi-nspiration? Choooo Chooooooo!! That’s what I hear when I look at this shot.
Galina Veratsennik‘s image (left) is of the miniature train in her Christmas village; Krista Lund’s image (right) is a snapshot of her family at the Annual “Train of Lights.” show text of 1 comment. Love it Steph! Great shot! ChoooChoo! This is my holiday card from *last* year. I am dying to post my card from this year, but I need to make sure they get delivered first!! Merry. :)
Galina Veratsennik’s image (left) is Merry in its own quaint way. Love this pairing. no comments. Are those reindeer I see in the sky?
Life is so much more fun and fulfilling when you let yourself believe. Krista Lund’s image (left) is about “Tom’s” and the belief that altruition can make a difference; Galina Veratsennik’s image (right) is about humanity’s belief in idols (here, the cat is thought to bring prosperity to the store). no comments. A little bit of pre-holiday (and humorous) excitement for the day.
Images: Me (above), Krista Lund (left), Galina Veratsennik (right). no comments. Yesterday, I attended Nate + Jaclyn’s Shootshop. Yep, blessed does not begin to say it. (((If you ever want a review, shoot me an email and expect to hear all things glowing.))) One of the many profound insights I gathered from the workshop was the need to distinguish myself with my own authentic vision. I need to stop being distracted by the noise of self-doubt and constant keeping-up-with-the-joneses stuff and, in a sense, start using my energy to smell the roses … well, in this case it’s leaves, but you can hopefully see why I loved this picture of little Ryann so much.
This morning, still tired from all of the learning (and eating), I went through my most recent shoot and I had so much fun pulling the images because I had a very clear articulation of what I was looking for … my authenticity. Thank you to Nate + Jaclyn for this gift!!! And thank you to the De Sales family for being such fun subjects!! no comments. In photography, soft can have so many different meanings – anything from texture, to focus, to the emotion of the subject matter.
Each of Krista (left), Galina (right) and I touched a lot of different “softness” for this topic. This was a great challenge! show text of 1 comment. Steph this is gorgeous:) I love softness in newborn images. It’s difficult to imagine something tiny enough to make a toddler’s little hand look large, but never say never! And check out Krista Lund’s tiny little love bug (left) and the itsy bits people in Galina Veratsennik‘s (right) tiny village!!!
show text of 1 comment. hwmw project 52 almost complete! holy cow! i can’t believe it! no comments. I had so much fun with this family. They really wanted something different. Different is something I can do … and I can do different well. :)
Thank you for the fun shoot!! show text of 1 comment. g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s!!!! Who doesn’t love the beach in December? We are so lucky!! Here’s a little beach celebration to say Mitrevski Christmaski! no comments. Wow. I am sitting here feeling so old! And the topic is now feeling quite ironic. LOL. Here is what I see as youth. Well, here is what I see as “youths” which could also be called pre-hooligans. :) Love that word. credits: Krista Lund (left); Galina Veratsennik (right). no comments. |
